In 2020, JD Retail announced to undertake strategic development, business breakthroughs, organizational restructuring, and culture cultivation.

Having earned the trust of Chinese consumers as their first choice in many categories – home appliances, digital products, fast-moving consumer goods, fresh food, healthcare, baby and maternal products, and more – JD Retail had a successful 2019. Never straying from our trust-based, customer-centric mission, JD Retail will continue to carry out the value proposition of trust to work with brands and merchants to achieve quality growth in 2020

JD Retail will also focus on omnichannel integration projects, penetrating into lower-tier markets and building up a powerful retail ecosystem.

A year ago, JD Retail launched several key online and offline integration initiatives such as opening new brick and mortar outlets like JD E-Space, and its 7FRESH Life and SEVEN FUN concepts.

JD’s system uses AI algorithms to find the most effective delivery way after the consumer makes online orders. It can reduce the cost of operations by over 50%, providing consumers with fast delivery.

Along with that, the company will further empower brands and merchants in big data, marketing, and operations. Due to Chinese consumer behavior insights, JD Retail is going to develop its Consumer to Manufacturing (C2M) program. It would help brands to brands understand how to boost performance, adjust their brand offering in China to better fit in local tastes.
