Merchants from UK and EEA can now offer ‘Revolut Pay’ as a payment method. Thus, the challenger bank can compete with the likes of PayPal and Apple Pay across product, cart, and checkout pages.

The new feature has an easy checkout experience. Revolut account holders don’t need to input any card or bank details, paying via saved cards or directly via their account balance. Meanwhile, non-Revolut customers can save their details after their first purchase, using saved Mastercard or Visa cards issued by any other providers.

Authorisation happens via biometric means like Face ID or fingerprints. No account number will be shared. Additional verification may require scanning a QR code.

Shopify, Prestashop, WH Smith and Funky Pigeon have already integrated the new checkout solution into their shopping platforms.

"With its speed, convenience, security and low pricing, Revolut Pay gives merchants a competitive advantage in a rapidly growing e-commerce market. At Revolut, we constantly strive to make it faster, easier and cheaper for merchants of all sizes to accept payments, wherever they are, and to make it more convenient and secure for customers to pay."
Nikolay Storonsky,
CEO, Revolut
