That’s the way for fintech to support the LGBT communities

According to Verdict, Revolut is issuing a rainbow card for clients across the UK and Europe to mark Pride celebrations.

Customers need to donate a minimum of £3.00 to ILGA-Europe before ordering a card. ILGA is the charity campaigning for LGBT and intersex human rights in Europe and Central Asia.

Besides, the bank will allow customers to round-up card payments and donate their spare change to ILGA-Europe.

Sadly, in recent years, Pride has become a marketing opportunity for a lot of brands. They talk a lot about how much diversity means to them but add little or no value to the community. By introducing a minimum donation, we hope to raise over £500,000 for an organization that is campaigning daily for LGBTI+ human rights

The clients can also set up weekly or monthly donations directly through the app. All proceeds will go directly to ILGA-Europe, with no hidden fees.

We’ve reported that this fall, BNP Paribas will issue its first biometric payment cards with a built-in fingerprint sensor.
