Banco Santander has opened technology hubs in Malaga and Warsaw and is currently searching for professionals to fill them with. The new dedicated website BeTech! with Santander contains job listings in tech segments including platforms and APIs, cloud computing, big data, networks, DevSecOps, AI, software development, enterprise architecture, and cybersecurity.

The newly opened tech hubs, which will initially support the business functions of Santander Corporate & Investment Banking, will house around 1400 employees, while 513 positions are apparently still vacant. Overall, the ambition of the programme is to hire 1000 IT experts in Spain and 3000 across the globe.

We have previously reported on how to boost your chances for employment as a tech professional.

The expansion caters to the wider digital transformation programme launched in 2019. The bank has already moved 90% of its infrastructure to the cloud and is currently working on the proprietary customisable software Gravity.
