Aite-Novarica, a research and consulting company, has done work and produced the report provisioned by GIACT. Research results showed that one in four of the consumers in the United States are affected by identity theft in 2021.

They uncovered an increase in various data including account hacking scams. Aite-Novarica made their report in a short period as requested by the company, which wanted to show the importance and negative dynamics of the problem in today’s environment.

The US Identity Theft in 2021: Adapting and Evolving report shows the dynamics of identity theft, various fraud schemes, and the reactions of deceived people. According to Shirley Inscoe, strategic advisor at Aite-Novarica Group, identity thieves are coming up with out-of-the-box schemes to steal your identity, so companies should think seriously about protecting their personal data and updating their identity control mechanisms. This could keep the company safe from malicious fraud.

We’ve reported that Apple is bringing to the table a new BNPL payment solution.
