Nationwide Building Society, British financial institution, announced the launch of the technology that allows making contactless donations. This way, citizens are welcome to donate via the smart window poster just by tapping on it. Each tap donates £3 directly to homeless people, which means that citizens are able to make multiple donations per one time.

During the first week, the technology’s pilot raised £400, expecting that the smart window poster will encourage more donations. Furthermore, it brings more confidence to citizens who feel uncomfortable giving cash directly to people in need.

Nationwide Building Society aims to invest in the technology more, thus supporting communities across the country.
