Mastercard will soon launch virtual prepaid cards in Qatar

Users will be able to issue Contactless Tap & Go physical cards from Ooredoo Money shops in the coming weeks

Ooredoo Qatar, Mastercard, and QNB have announced the launch of the Ooredoo Money Virtual Prepaid Card and Contactless Tap & Go Mastercard cards in Qatar.

According to the report, consumers will be able to apply for the Mastercard Virtual Prepaid card directly using the Ooredoo Money app. The new product enables immediate issuance of digital cards and allows users to perform safe and secure online payments.

Through this partnership, Ooredoo Money will also be issuing Mastercard’s Contactless Tap & Go physical cards. That would enable contactless and frictionless payments using NFC while shopping worldwide.
