PayPal has teamed up with Vistaprint, the marketing and design partner to small businesses, to introduce touch-free payments.

This way, the QR Code payments will be beneficial to small businesses across the US. The touch-free payments will enable business owners to process all payments without handling credit cards or cash.

This move will prevent the spread of COVID-19 by ensuring there is zero physical contact between business owners and customers during a transaction.

To determine the efficacy of the touch-free payment method, Vistaprint surveyed 500 retail and food-service small entrepreneurs. 52% of the respondents stated they started using the feature in 2020. They also plan to keep the payment service in the long run. 42% stated that the touchless-payment methods are among the most essential payment solutions to their customers.

From the onset of the pandemic, it became clear that small businesses would face challenges unlike any in recent history. However, if we've learned anything from our small business partners it’s that their resilience is grounded in their ability to remain flexible in how they run their businesses to meet evolving consumer needs. This collaboration with PayPal is one way we are building solutions that help small businesses make the necessary pivots to not only keep their customers safe but also create new, streamlined avenues for success well beyond COVID-19

The new payment solution comes as the demand for touch-free payment options increases in small enterprises. Noting the effect of the pandemic on the small businesses, the move will ensure they keep their doors open amid the pandemic.

Vistaprint has worked tirelessly to meet the needs of small business enterprises. In addition, the company has expanded its production potential to produce pandemic-related products such as face masks and shields.

We’ve reported that PayPal and Razorpay announced a collaboration.
