UnionPay International and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank have announced a collaboration. They aim to enable UnionPay cards and contactless payment transactions on the bank’s 15,000 NFC terminals in the UAE.

All of the bank’s point of sale terminals provide a contactless payment service. The bank’s NFC terminals are distributed in many spheres as hospitals, hotels, government, etc.

The applicable payment service contains UnionPay contactless payment using UnionPay chip cards and Mobile QuickPass payment. In addition, the contactless payment limit is raised to AED500 to support more extensive use during these times.

These innovations are to improve the accessibility of e-payments. Also, it is a key method to struggle with virus infection at the settle up in the whole world.

However, UnionPay International is in progress to extend more advantages to the local partners. UPI has implemented procedures to boost the chargeback window for regional trade to give them more adaptability.

We’ve reported that UnionPay launched its digital bank card together with commercial banks, major mobile phone manufacturers, and key merchants and payment institutions. The process of card application and collection is completely digitalized.
