UnionPay International and PayTabs, MENA’s payment solutions powerhouse, have announced a strategic partnership.
This way, PayTabs merchants will be able to offer UnionPay Cards as an alternative payment method to customers who purchase goods and services online in the UAE.
At the same time, with access to PayTabs merchants in the UAE, UnionPay Cardholders can benefit from multiple transaction categories including booking a taxi, ordering food, making a hotel reservation, shopping for clothes or groceries online.
To date, 8 billion UnionPay cards have been issued globally, giving PayTabs merchants in the UAE access to tap into this profitable segment of cardholders that have higher spending potential.
We’ve reported that UnionPay cardholders using their Huawei or Honor smartphones with Solidarnost Bank can now make contactless payments with Huawei Pay in Russia.
