Ecommerce News reveals that Amazon plans to launch Amazon Poland on Amazon.pl. The e-commerce website is not yet operational, but sales partners in the country and abroad can now register their business with Amazon Poland.
It is not yet known exactly when the e-commerce website will launch, but the fact remains: external vendors may already register their accounts at the website in order to prepare for the launch.
Amazon has been supporting Polish customers and selling partners across our different European stores for many years, but the next step is to bring a full consumer retail offering to Poland and we are making those plans now
Otes goes on to say that they are delighted to expand opportunities for small businesses in Poland and are investing in tools and services that will help them grow.
It will not be easy for a company that has been operating in Poland since 2014. That’s because the country has another popular e-commerce player: Allegro. This company is sometimes called the “Polish Amazon”. The marketplace, founded in 1999, has over 12.3 million active buyers and is used by approximately 117,000 merchants.
Meanwhile, in October 2020, when Allegro CEO François Nuits announced that his company was ready to expand internationally. Nevertheless, the fact of Amazon’s arrival to Poland didn’t seem to intimidate him
