Amazon’s sales support associate has been arrested after the company reported him to authorities in July 2020.

Vu Anh Nguyen was accused of falsely issuing refunds totaling $96,508 to himself and his associates.

The US Department of Justice brought charges against Nguyen for federal wire fraud and aggravated identity theft.

His scheme involved nearly 318 refunds for orders purchased through 8 different Amazon accounts belonging to Nguyen and others.

We’ve reported that Amazon will expand Transparency to Japan and Australia, making it available in 10 countries where Amazon has a store.
