Asos to be the first retailer in Europe that tests the technology
Asos has started a test with See My Fit, an augmented reality (AR) tool, according to Ecommerce News. This way, a customer gets an opportunity to look at the product in different sizes and on different body types.
The See My Fit tool is provided by an Israeli AR company Zeekit, which partnered Asos before.
Customers can just click the See My Fit button on one of 800 dresses that are involved in the experiment and will then be able to choose to view that dress on a range of 16 models.
Despite the pictures of models wearing a dress are generated, Asos ensures the images appear similar to real photographs.
Earlier in 2018, Asos introduced Fit Assistant which uses machine learning to give personalized sizing recommendations to its customers. And in June 2019, the British company tested Virtual Catwalk, an AR tool letting customers view models as if they were walking in the room with them.
