Flipkart has announced a partnership with the Adani Group, India’s largest multinational infrastructure company.

This way, Flipkart will work with Adani Logistics Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Limited.

This partnership aims to strengthen Flipkart’s supply chain infrastructure and further enhance its ability to serve a rapidly growing customer base.

In addition, Flipkart will open its third data center at Adaniconnex Private Limited in Chennai, leveraging AdaniConneX’s data center technology solutions. Adaniconnex Private Limited is a new common enterprise between EdgeConneX and Adani Enterprises Limited.

Consisted of this partnership Adani Logistics Limited will build a huge 534,000 sq. ft. at its new logistics center in Mumbai, which will be leased by Flipkart.

The center is expected to open in Q3 of 2022 and will be able to house 10 million items of vendor inventory at any time. In accordance with strengthening Flipkart’s supply chain infrastructure to support MSMEs and vendors, the facility will increase local employment and create about 2,500 direct jobs and thousands of indirect ones.

Another area of the partnership will be the development of a third Flipkart data center at the AdaniConnecX facility as part of one of the largest private cloud deployments in the country. It will further help to strengthen its growing e-commerce market in India.
