Ecommerce News stated that Supermercetato24 has raised €11 million. The e-commerce company aims to use the investment money to strengthen its position in Italy and deploy extra services for retailers and brands.

Supermercetato24 wants to further boost its international expansion as well. Recently, it launched in Poland after it acquired grocery delivery service Szopi in October 2019.

We aim to expand geographically across Europe, while also launching new tools to serve our partner retailers and brands. The European online grocery market is in a key phase of growth and we want to lead the way by leveraging our technology and innovative business model
Federico Sargenti, CEO of Supermercato24

Supermercato24 enables retailers to sell their groceries online with zero up-front investment costs. In addition to that, the platform allows customers to have their groceries handpicked and delivered on the same day at the same price they would get in-store.
