Ziticity, a startup from Lithuania, wants to deliver packages in Europe from pick-up points to customers within one hour, Ecommerce News reports. The logistics company just raised a €315,000 seed round led by Estonia-based early stage fund Superangel, with participation from Practica Capital, Startup Wise Guys, and angel investor Mikko Silventola.

Nowadays, fast delivery is one of the unique selling points online stores use to try and compete with each other. But it’s not easy, as major ecommerce companies such as Amazon have already set the bar very high.

But Lithuanian logistics startup Ziticity wants to offer last-mile on-demand delivery to meet the small ecommerce shops’ demand for fast delivery. The Vilnius-based company has just raised €315,000, after it already got a €50,000 euros investment from the Latvian Business Angels Netwerk in February.

rnAmazon has become the biggest online retailer in Europe. Moreover, they are investing 800 million dollars to enable free one-day shipping for Prime members. This means even more consumers are going to get used to having whatever they order show up at their doorsteps in 24 hours or less. Never has the need been greater for the rest of ecommerce to stay competitive and meet these changing customer expectations. We are privileged to enter the market at this particular time and give merchants even better tool to compete: 45-minute delivery

Ziticity offers an online platform that connects online stores with private couriers. Anyone can sign up to become a ‘Zitter’ and deliver packages, documents, and other items from pick-up points to customers. Currently, the service is only available in Vilnius and Tallinn, where it achieves an average delivery time of 42 minutes. The startup is planning collaborations with supermarkets and expansion to other cities.
