Zalando is testing same-evening delivery in Switzerland, according to Ecommerce News. The new service enables selected customers to receive their orders the same evening. Zalando is running the test with Swiss Post and Notime.

Zalando tested same-day delivery in Germany in 2017 and following the successful expansion of this delivery service in its home market, the fashion company is now testing it in Switzerland.

Same-day delivery in Switzerland is handled by Notime, the tech company for time-window-based deliveries that was acquired by Swiss Post in March of this year. Since the end of last month, the CO2-neutral cargo wheels of this company have been delivering Zalando packages to customers in the Zurich area.

Delivery in the evening should increase the number of Zalando packages that end up in the customers’ hands during the first delivery attempt.

Currently, Zalando offers same-evening delivery in over 20 cities across Germany. According to Lisa Miczaika, VP Central Europe, this had led to more satisfaction and loyalty among customers, which reflect in their purchasing behavior.

Satisfied customers order more, and more frequently. We are therefore convinced that fast, flexible delivery and options such as same-evening or next-day delivery and returns pick-up will become the new standard in metropolises
