According to Ecommerce News, sales in the grocery trade in Sweden increased by 3.1% during 2019. Swedish e-commerce showed the fastest growth because store sales increased by 2.8%, while e-commerce raised 21.9%.
During December, sales in the Swedish online grocery industry increase by 23.8%, while the offline grocery industry grew with 2.7% during that period.
The Swedish Food Retailers Federation stated that food retail in the country is developing at a stable rate, just a little bit slower than the increase in population and inflation.
