Facebook announced it is changing its corporate logo. The main aim of the rebranding is to help visually distinguish the Facebook company from the Facebook app, which will keep its branding without changes. And for further clarity, Facebook uses custom typography and capitalization to create visional distinction.

Numerous Facebook’s apps and technologies, including Facebook app, Messenger, Instagram, Oculus, WhatsApp, Workplace, Portal and Calibra, have shared infrastructure for years. Over the coming weeks, Facebook will start using its new brand within its products, official website and promotional materials.

This brand change is a way to better communicate our ownership structure to the people and businesses who use our services to connect, share, build community and grow their audiences
