Microsoft has expanded the payments relationship with Worldpay from FIS, according to the official press release.

This comes as Worldpay is assigned more services to deliver. These include providing online debit and credit card for Microsoft online stores including Microsoft Azure, Xbox, Microsoft Advertising and other Microsoft brands in Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific.

Since 2014, the two companies have been working together. The new service expansion will see Worldpay process Microsoft’s online global payments. Microsoft will also use value-added services provided by Worldpay.

These include Account Updater, which automatically ensures the updating of subscriber-based payment card credentials and solutions that will enhance tokenized security and authorization rates.

FIS has an existing relationship with Microsoft via Azure, a cloud computing service. The service delivers strategic cloud services. To date, FIS is available in 33 regions globally.

We’ve reported that Bank of America introduced a fraud prevention tool.
