Mobile services revenue in Australia to reach nearly US$15B by 2025

Three major operators including Telstra, Optus, and Vodafone Australia support the growth

According to GlobalData, mobile services revenue in Australia is expected to maintain a CAGR of 15.4% and reach US$14.9 billion in 2025.

An analysis of GlobalData’s Australia Mobile Broadband Forecast Model reveals that the mobile voice revenues is expected to grow at a CAGR of 12.7% by 2025, driven by the steady rise in voice subscriptions.

As to mobile data service revenue, it’s anticipated to grow at a CAGR of 16.7% over the same period. It will be driven by the strong growth in the higher average revenue per user 5G subscriptions.

Besides, the Australian government’s plans to auction high band 5G spectrum in H1 2021 for faster, high-capacity 5G services will pave way for the further evolution of the mobile services market in the country. Along with that, the government aims to allocate a low-band 5G spectrum in H2 2021 for broader geographic coverage of 5G services.
