Yesterday Samsung presented a new line of its smartphones – Galaxy S10. The company dedicated the presentation of its new devices to the 10th anniversary of the launch of the first Galaxy S.

There’s not much new about the Galaxy S10 itself – there have been rumors about the new flagman’s specs for quite some time now, and they appear to be mostly true. However, Samsung has managed to surprise fans with other innovative devices.

PaySpace Magazine has watched the presentation, so we are ready to share some info on the features & specificities of Samsung’s novelties with you.

You’ve probably heard something about the newly rolled out Galaxy S10 – its specs & pics were leaked long before the presentation. Actually, Samsung has rolled out a whole new line of smartphones, including the Galaxy S10 itself, the more advanced version S10+, compact S10e, and S10 5G. The main features are pretty similar across the S10 line, so instead of going into details, let’s compare the new generation of smartphones with the previous one and try to find out if the S10 is worth buying.

By the way, S10s are quite pricey. Pricing starts at $749.99 for Galaxy S10e, $899.99 for Galaxy S10, and $999.99 for Galaxy S10+.

Galaxy Fold

Eight years after the debut of Samsung’s first flexible display prototype, the company has revived the “foldable frenzy”, unveiling Galaxy Fold. The zest of the new device is (suddenly) its 7.3-inch Infinity Flex Display, which, according to DJ Koh, President and CEO of IT & Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics, “introduces a completely new category that unlocks new capabilities never seen before”. The device is packed with powerful hardware so that the user can simultaneously use up to three apps on the main display. It also has a complex camera system. Galaxy Fold is equipped with 6 lenses – three in the back, two on the inside and one on the cover.

Consumers who wish to purchase this brand new technical fad will be able to do so in the second quarter of 2019. It will cost almost twice as much as S10+ at $1980.

Wearables

Galaxy Watch Active

As the name implies, Galaxy Watch Active is a new sporty smartwatch. It has a minimalist design and a bunch of new features, including:

  • Blood pressure monitoring;
  • Stress levels monitoring & managing tools;
  • Easy fitness tracking – the device can auto-detect when you run, bike, row, workout, etc.

The new smartwatch will be available for $199.99 this spring.

Galaxy Fit

The new Galaxy Fit is similar to Galaxy Watch Active in terms of its new healthcare and fitness features, although this tracker is designed especially for those who have an active mode of life and do sport. Galaxy Fit will be available in Q2 2019.

Galaxy Buds

Galaxy Buds are the new cord-free earbuds with sound by AKG. Samsung claims that even while the buds are in your ears, you’ll be able to hear your surroundings and stay aware of what’s happening around you. Earbuds also have the Adaptive Dual Microphone, which can deliver your voice clearly in both loud and quiet environments. Galaxy Buds can manage up to six hours of Bluetooth streaming. New earbuds will be available for $129.99, but for a limited time, those who’ll pre-order a Galaxy S10 or S10+ on Samsung’s official website will receive them for free.
