Bitcoin.com has become one of the first crypto-friendly partners to offer Venmo as a payment method for US users through MoonPay.
Bitcoin.com, a bitcoin and cryptocurrency wallet developer and news & education portal, has partnered with MoonPay to enable U.S. users to utilise the popular P2P payment service Venmo for purchasing Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in the Bitcoin.com Wallet app and on its web portal.
With over 60 million users in the United States, Venmo is a widely trusted payment option that Americans regularly use for quick, seamless transactions. From now on, they can also use Venmo to make purchases through MoonPay on Bitcoin.com, enjoying a streamlined checkout experience when they acquire Bitcoin and other digital assets.
Besides Venmo, Bitcoin.com offers other convenient payment methods for U.S. users, including PayPal, credit cards, and debit cards. The flexibility of payment methods for purchasing crypto expands potential clientele and improves user experience. Compared to more traditional payment means, Venmo stands out as a particularly user-friendly and accessible option.
Its simple interface and user-friendly design make it easy for anyone to set up an account, link a bank or card, and send money in just a few steps. Transactions through Venmo are straightforward, fast (often instant), with minimal friction and low cost. Besides, the Venmo payment experience is more engaging than some other payment apps may offer. It has integrated a social feed where users can see their friends’ transactions and introduced personalised payments with emojis and descriptions.
The expansion of available payment methods on the Bitcoin.com platform is possible due to the partnership with Moonpay – a fintech company focusing on crypto trading and fiat-crypto transactions. The two partners have collaborated for about five years since Bitcoin.com’s launch. Moreover, MoonPay was recently selected as the exclusive payments provider facilitating the buying and selling of Bitcoin and other crypto on Bitcoin.com’s website and in the Bitcoin.com Mobile Wallet app.
