Importantly, the company revealed it’s going to invest the funds in hosts thus bringing new ones into its community.

What is more, Airbnb is going to enlarge longer-term stays proposals. The company believes that would significantly simplify the lives of students needing housing during school, or people on extended work assignments, etc.

Silver Lake and Sixth Street Partners funds’ investment includes $5 million which Airbnb will contribute to its Superhost Relief Fund, according to the statement. This fund provides $15 million worth grants to Superhosts who are renting out their own home and need help in paying rent or mortgage.
