BNP Paribas announced its partnership with Tink, the open banking platform, to extend their operations in Europe. BNL will be implementing Tink’s solutions for account aggregation, payment initiation, and personal finance management. BNP Paribas’ venture capital arm, Opera Tech Ventures, supported this strategic partnership with a minority investment in Tink.

Since its launch in Sweden in 2012, Tink has been enabling banks, fintechs and startups to develop data-driven financial services. For now, the open banking platform has more than 270 employees worldwide and allows customers to connect to more than 2,500 banks that reach over 250 million bank customers across Europe.
