Online funds transfer company WorldRemit has partnered up with Wizall Money to release its first mobile money transfer service in Senegal.

The Senegalese community living abroad can now save time and money thanks to the partnership because they don’t have to visit a financial institution or pay additional fees for sending money to their home.

Over 60,000 Senegal mobile money accounts can receive money from over 50 countries, including the US, Spain, and France. From there on, the account recipients can pay for goods or services directly from the Wizall Money account.

Other features include cash pickup, bank transfers, and airtime top-up services to Senegal, allowing the customers to choose the most convenient option for the account receivers. In 2019, the Senegalese diaspore is estimated to have contributed 10% of the country’s GDP which is almost $2.5 billion.

We are delighted to partner with Wizall Money to launch our first mobile money transfer service to Senegal. According to the World Bank, nearly 60% of adults in Senegal remain unbanked. Our new service will enable families across urban and rural areas of the country to receive money from abroad straight to their mobile phone, without the need for an internet connection or bank account
