De Bijenkorf has launched its online shop in Germany. The Dutch omnichannel retailer offers products from around 1,000 well-known and upcoming brands, Ecommerce News reports. In the Netherlands, the department store has one of the country’s biggest online stores.

The expansion to Germany was made public in March this year, when the Dutch company put online four different job offers for its German branch. The launch of Debijenkorf.de marks the third market where De Bijenkorf is active now. The department store is also available for Belgian customers.

German customers who visit De Bijenkorf won’t be able to pay by invoice, although that’s a very popular payment method in Germany. Offered payment methods are Klarna, Giropay, iDeal, VISA/Mastercard, American Express and PayPal.

Orders will arrive within two days. That’s different from how it operates in the Netherlands and Belgium, as customers there can get their order within one working day.

Last year, De Bijenkorf ended on the tenth place of the biggest online stores in the Netherlands. The luxury department store achieved a turnover of 180 million euros.
