French supermarket Monoprix, a subsidiary of Casino Group, wants to further expand its partnership with Amazon. The two companies started working together last year, with Amazon delivering groceries in France through its Amazon Prime Now program, Ecommerce News reports.

In March of 2018, Amazon announced the launch of a project focused on delivering groceries in France. It made this possible thanks to a partnership with Monoprix, by letting them sell its products to customers in Paris, through Amazon’s delivery service. Following this successful launch, Monoprix now wants to further expand this partnership.

We are now covering all of Paris and we are working on a rollout with Amazon whose sole geographic constraint is the presence of Monoprix stores

Jean-Charles Naouri, the CEO of holding company Casino Group, even said the partnership exceeded “what had been budgeted”, although he didn’t give any further details.

In March of last year, Monoprix was the first French retailer to sell its products via Amazon’s two-hour delivery service Amazon Prime Now. It wasn’t until September the company started filling orders for Amazon’s Prime Now subscribers in some parts of Paris.
