GVI will focus on high potential startups aiming to launch in the Vietnamese market
Grab has entered into a partnership with the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA). Both companies plan to pilot Grab Ventures Ignite (GVI) initiative. This project is a 14-week accelerator program for Singapore-based startups with interest to venture overseas.
Besides, Grab Ventures Ignite will be held alongside the GVI Vietnam program. This way, startups from both countries willbe able to exchange ideas and learn from one another. The initiative enables Singapore startups to get a better understanding of Vietnam’s culture and business context. In addition, it will help them build strategic networks with Vietnamese investors and corporate partners.
Grab and IMDA will evaluate Singaporean startups according to a range of criteria. The companies will focus on the team strengths, existing standing in the Singapore market, potential fit with the Vietnamese market, and readiness to expand.
