Huawei has announced the commitment to launch AI Ecosystem Program in Europe. It will enable enterprises and individual developers to involve the Ascend AI series products for technological and business innovation.

Huawei plans to invest €100 million in this initiative. It will involve 200,000 developers, 500 ISV partners, 50 universities and research institutes.

The AI Ecosystem Program will focus on three key areas: improvement of the regulations on AI ethics and security, AI research boost and vertical industry development, improvement of the AI university ecosystem in Europe through academic platforms.

The company will give its partners access to AI courses and teaching materials, and establish joint labs in Europe. For instance, it will develop joint solutions with ISV partners like the OpenLabs in Paris and Munich, focusing on hardware, development and porting, as well as joint marketing. They will also offer offline technological salons, developer contests, and technological support.
