According to Ecommerce News, manufacturers increasingly want to digitize their sales and buying processes. The survey highlights three key objectives for digitizing after-sales businesses.
This way, 77% aim to boost customer satisfaction, whereas 52% want to increase sales to the installed base. 52% of manufacturers plan to reduce cost per transaction.
Meanwhile, attracting new customers online is an objective for only 40% of the respondents.
The study states there’s much potential for digital growth among B2B companies, both in the short and long term. In fact, online sales currently represent only 0% to 25% of a company’s total sales, at least, for 78% of people surveyed.
