Adyen’s 3D Secure solution supports Uber’s seamless checkout experience

The payments platform Adyen announced that it has been selected by Uber to be its initial solutions provider for 3D Secure (3DS).
3D Secure 2 (3DS 2) is a new technology standard developed by EMVCo that enables strong customer authentication to comply with regulations like PSD2 in Europe. It introduces a new approach to authentication through secure data sharing, biometric identification, and improved mobile-friendly customer experience. Adyen’s solution supports the widest coverage of card networks for 3DS 2 and legacy versions of 3DS at a global scale through a single platform.
