WorldRemit expands cross-border payments in Africa

WorldRemit has teamed up with Juba Express, a money transfer service, to allow Somalis to receive funds from close ones in over 40 countries.

The customers will be able to send money to Somalia digitally 24/7 through the WorldRemit app.

Besides, they can collect their money at Juba Express cash pick up branches throughout Somalia, without a phone.

The report states that usually, funds will be available for collection within 30 minutes of the transaction is created.

The customers can send a maximum of $3000 per transaction, although, there may be lower limits depending on the country where people are sending from.
