Fintech Meetup Europe 2026 will take place on 6–8 October 2026 at Feira Internacional de Lisboa in Lisbon, Portugal, bringing together 2,500+ fintech, banking, payments and commerce leaders for three days of meetings, networking and industry discussion.
The inaugural European edition of Fintech Meetup is designed to connect senior decision-makers from banks, financial institutions, retailers, merchants, fintech companies, startups, investors and technology providers. The event will include more than 650 hosted buyers and is expected to facilitate 25,000+ pre-scheduled, double opt-in meetings, giving participants a structured way to identify relevant business connections and discuss partnerships, investment and technology opportunities.
The central theme for 2026 is “Build to Last”, focusing on how Europe can develop financial systems that combine innovation with resilience, trust, regulation and long-term growth. The programme will feature 200+ speakers, 50+ track sessions and four dedicated stages covering key areas of the European financial ecosystem.
The Banking Track will examine how financial institutions can modernise while addressing regulation, technology, governance and sustainable growth. The Payments & Infrastructure Track will focus on resilient payment systems, interoperability and infrastructure that can scale across Europe. The Commerce & Embedded Finance Track will explore how fintechs and merchants are integrating financial services into customer-facing products and platforms. The Startup Track will bring founders and investors together around companies designed to operate through regulation, consolidation and changing market conditions.
The agenda also addresses practical issues shaping the sector, including AI accountability in banking, MiCA and digital assets, account-to-account payments, fraud, neobank resilience and fintech innovation.
