Adyen to Power Atlas F&B Payment Experiences

The food and beverage (F&B) sector of Singapore faces growing operational and manpower challenges, which Adyen and Atlas have partnered to facilitate.

Adyen to Power Atlas F&B Payment Experiences

Adyen, a leading fintech platform for payments, data, and financial management, has established a partnership with a Singapore-based provider of restaurant-focused payment software – Atlas.

Atlas provides a unified platform that helps restaurants manage and grow their business both online and in person. It supports everything from setting up digital storefronts and integrating point-of-sale (POS) systems to connecting with delivery services and syncing with major food ordering platforms. The company also enables integration with loyalty programs and other business tools and uses AI to optimize restaurant operations and performance.

With the use of Adyen for Platforms, Atlas will streamline backend operations for its F&B clients, ultimately also improving the payment experience for diners. This end-to-end, white-label solution is designed to help platforms, marketplaces, SaaS providers, and on-demand services manage payments and payouts efficiently and compliantly.

As Atlas will integrate the tech stack into its AtlasPay solution, it is expected to bring streamlined, centralized reporting to minimize manual reconciliation efforts. Along with dependable, easy-to-use payment terminals that support the payment methods customers prefer, the combined tools should reduce human errors, increase direct sales, and save manpower efforts, ultimately resulting in shorter lines, faster table turnover, and less stress for staff during busy hours.

Adyen notes that enhanced payment solutions strengthen the resilience of Singaporean small businesses that operate in the F&B industry amid increasing competition and operational challenges, as well as rising consumer demands for faster and more personalized service. According to recent statistics, in 2024 alone, 3,047 F&B businesses shut down, which means, on average, 307 businesses closed every month – the highest number of closures since 2005.

Notably, 75% of surveyed SMBs said payment reconciliation remains a major challenge for them. Average SMB managers spend six hours per week on accounting tasks. While 75% of those using a main SaaS platform say it offers consolidated reporting, nearly half (49%) still rely on multiple SaaS tools, adding complexity rather than simplifying operations.
