Altek AI Raises Pre-Seed Funding to Expand Autonomous Hotel Guest Communication Platform

Altek AI, a hospitality technology startup developing autonomous guest communication solutions, has closed a €423,000 pre-seed funding round led by StartupLab. The funding will enable the company to expand its platform, enhance AI workflows, and accelerate adoption among hotels in the Nordics and wider European markets.

Founded in Oslo, Altek AI builds an AI-driven platform that handles guest communication across email, chat, messaging apps, and websites. The system integrates with hotel property management systems (PMS) and booking engines, enabling automated responses to reservation requests, inquiries, and service questions while maintaining operational context. The platform also supports multi-language interactions, allowing hotels to provide 24/7 guest service without increasing staff workload.

The company reports that its platform has been deployed in dozens of Nordic hotels, handling tens of thousands of guest messages each month. At one property, AI agents resolved 92% of guest conversations autonomously over a three-week period, allowing staff to focus on in-person service and operational priorities. By automating repetitive communication, the solution reduces manual input, accelerates response times, and helps minimise human errors across bookings and service requests.

Specific features of Altek AI include an AI email assistant that drafts responses up to 5.7 times faster than manual workflows, an AI booking assistant capable of processing requests 4.3 times faster, and a digital concierge that can handle routine guest questions across multiple channels. Dashboards provide staff with analytics on guest interactions, enabling better planning of resources and staffing based on communication volume and patterns.

The pre-seed funding will be used to enhance the platform’s autonomous capabilities, expand integrations with hotel systems, and support Altek AI’s growth beyond the Nordics. StartupLab, the lead investor, cited the company’s early traction with paying hotels and its potential to streamline operations as key reasons for backing the platform.

Altek AI’s leadership reported that the new capital will allow the company to increase its development and support teams, scale deployment to new properties, and accelerate the adoption of AI-assisted workflows across the hospitality sector. The company aims to position its platform as a core operational tool for hotel staff, automating routine communication and freeing employees to focus on high-value guest service and operational efficiency.
