Amazon Web Services announced a set of product expansions at its “What’s Next with AWS” event, including a restructuring of Amazon Connect, updates to Amazon Quick, and an expanded partnership with OpenAI to bring its models, Codex, and a new managed agents service to Amazon Bedrock — all in limited preview.
Amazon Connect
Amazon Connect, an AI-powered cloud contact center solution from AWS, is expanding from a single product into a set of four solutions: Decisions (supply chain planning), Talent (hiring), Customer (customer experience), and Health (healthcare). Each is designed to integrate into how teams already work. The original Amazon Connect, used by companies including State Farm and Air Canada, becomes Amazon Connect Customer.
The solutions draw on Amazon’s operational experience managing a supply chain with more than 400 million SKUs, hiring 250,000 seasonal employees for the 2025 peak season, and supporting patients and clinicians through One Medical and Amazon Pharmacy.

Amazon Quick
Amazon Quick is an AI assistant for work that connects to a user’s apps and data, learns from usage over time, and takes action on the user’s behalf. Starting today, users can access a new desktop app, sign up for Free and Plus pricing plans, generate visual assets in chat, and connect Quick to additional apps. No AWS account is required to sign up.

OpenAI on Amazon Bedrock
AWS and OpenAI are expanding their strategic partnership with three capabilities, all in limited preview: OpenAI models on Amazon Bedrock, Codex on Amazon Bedrock, and Amazon Bedrock Managed Agents powered by OpenAI.
AWS customers can now evaluate and deploy OpenAI models alongside models from Anthropic, Meta, Mistral, Cohere, Amazon, and other providers through a single service with unified security controls, including IAM-based access management, AWS PrivateLink connectivity, encryption at rest and in transit, and logging through AWS CloudTrail. Customers can apply OpenAI usage toward existing AWS cloud commitments.
Codex, OpenAI’s coding agent, is available through the Bedrock API via the Codex CLI, the Codex desktop app, and Visual Studio Code extension. More than 4 million people use Codex weekly.
Amazon Bedrock Managed Agents powered by OpenAI enables construction of agents that incorporate memory of previous interactions. GPT-5.4 is available in limited preview now; GPT-5.5 is expected within the next couple of weeks.

The announcements follow a $38 billion infrastructure commitment signed in November 2025, under which OpenAI agreed to use AWS compute including hundreds of thousands of NVIDIA GB200 and GB300 GPUs via EC2 UltraServer clusters. OpenAI also pledged to utilize approximately 2 gigawatts of AWS Trainium capacity for model training.
The AWS announcements came one day after OpenAI and Microsoft restructured their partnership, ending Microsoft’s exclusive license to OpenAI’s models and products.
