Latin America (Latam), being one of the most prospective fintech markets globally, was chosen by Solidgate as the next destination for its payment infrastructure expansion via the partnership with Uruguay-based startup Bamboo.
Solidgate, a global payment orchestration platform, has announced a new partnership with Bamboo, a cross-border payments company headquartered in Uruguay, to expand its presence and payment capabilities across Latin America.
As part of this collaboration, Bamboo will provide Solidgate with local infrastructure and acquiring capabilities to connect global merchants with consumers in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, and Uruguay.
Through this integration, Solidgate aims to enhance its regional coverage, increase redundancy and processing continuity, and enable merchants to access a wider range of local payment options (cards, alternative payment methods (APMs), recurring payments, and network tokens), quick onboarding, and reduced operational barriers through a single integration for multiple markets.
The partnership reflects Solidgate’s ongoing commitment to building a robust payments ecosystem that supports seamless market entry and scalable growth for merchants operating across diverse geographies. It builds on the company’s broader expansion strategy in Latin America, which includes a recent collaboration with EBANX to extend access to local payment rails in more than 13 LATAM countries, offering popular local payment methods such as Pix, digital wallets, cash vouchers, instalments, and local cards through a single API.
In turn, by joining Solidgate’s partner network, Bamboo reinforces its mission to create a secure, efficient payment ecosystem connecting global merchants to international markets. Founded in Uruguay in 2020, the company offers cross-border pay-ins and payouts, supporting over 200 payment methods and linking more than 600 banks and financial institutions worldwide.
