The new Bueno Visa card is designed to make managing expenses and payments in Spain easier for international property owners — a segment that often faces challenges with traditional banking options and cross-border transactions.

Bueno, a financial services provider focused on foreign homeowners in Spain, has announced the launch of the Bueno Card, issued by Sefide and carrying the Visa brand.
Through the Bueno Card, users will gain direct access to local payment tools, enabling them to pay bills, manage household expenses, and make purchases without the need for a Spanish bank account. The partnership with Visa and Sefide ensures that the card meets international standards for security, transparency, and convenience.
Bueno’s latest move follows growing demand for digital-first financial services among expats and second-home owners in Spain. By partnering with Visa and Sefide, the company aims to strengthen its position in the country’s expanding fintech and paytech ecosystem, which continues to see double-digit growth in card and digital payment adoption.
Spain’s payments ecosystem has been evolving rapidly. The overall payments market is projected to reach $197.3 billion in 2025, and is forecast to grow to over $304 billion by 2030.
Payment behaviours in the country are shifting as well. While cards still remain dominant online, digital wallets, mobile payments, and instant account‑to‑account (A2A) transfers are gaining momentum.
In recent times, Spain has been at the forefront of deploying cross‑border instant payment solutions and mobile‑first payment experiences. Fintech for expat segments are particularly dynamic. With rising smartphone penetration, international homeowners and non‑resident consumers increasingly expect solutions that handle local payments as easily as global ones.
