CaixaBank has created an interactive metaverse experience for its customers dedicated to World Earth Day.

All the visitors of the bank’s “all in one” centres in Ibiza, Burgos, Valencia, Barcelona and Madrid can participate in the eco-awareness initiative between 20 and 27 April. The metaverse venue and activities aim to teach people how to contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable world.

In a fun and educational way, the developed virtual tour guides the participants through a series of challenges in different natural environments. Thus, customers joining the innovative experience will virtually explore and complete eco-related missions in the immersive settings of forests, beaches and the deep sea. That could potentially raise their awareness of the need to take care of the environment and the ways they can contribute to a sustainable future as individuals.

In order to participate, customers must pre-register using the bank’s digital channels or sign up directly at the “all in one” centres in question.

Within the framework of the initiative, the “CaixaBank Talks” session titled “Do you know which small habits you can adopt to slow down climate change?” will be held on-site at “all in one Madrid” on 27 April at 19:00. In addition, the session will be streamed for all CaixaBank customers and employees.

Moreover, 3D images will be projected in a surround format on the large screens in the participating “all in one” centres on 22 April. They will immerse customers that visit the space in the atmosphere of the deep sea while transmitting messages on environmental care and CaixaBank’s commitment to sustainability.

These and other activities demonstrate the path of the bank to fulfil its objective of promoting initiatives that help drive society’s sustainable transition.

Previously, we have reported that CaixaBank participates in the European research consortium along with eleven international entities to improve cybersecurity by leveraging AI and big data.
