Cassava Technologies has unveiled two major initiatives aimed at accelerating artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud adoption across emerging markets while strengthening digital sovereignty for African governments. The company announced the launch of its new Cassava Cloud Partner (CCP) programme alongside a National Sovereign Cloud (NSC) solution designed to support secure AI-enabled public infrastructure across the continent.

Together, the initiatives form a broader strategy to expand Africa’s sovereign AI ecosystem, enabling enterprises, developers, and governments to access advanced compute infrastructure while maintaining control over data and digital platforms.
Expanding access to AI and cloud infrastructure
The newly launched Cassava Cloud Partner programme will allow mobile network operators (MNOs) and system integrators across Africa and Latin America to consume, resell, and distribute AI, cloud, and digital services built on Cassava’s infrastructure.
Through the programme, partners gain access to a range of technologies, including NVIDIA Cloud Partner solutions, Cassava’s turnkey AI Factory, and the company’s native AI services platform CAIMEx — a localized multi-model AI environment that provides unified access to leading artificial intelligence models.
The initiative also offers specialized AI tools such as Customer Experience Conversational Interface (CECI), Geospatial AI Ops, and Cassava Autonomous Networks, which are designed to help enterprises and telecom operators deploy AI-driven applications across sectors, including telecommunications, logistics, customer support, and infrastructure management.
By enabling partners to distribute these technologies, Cassava aims to reduce barriers to entry for organizations seeking to deploy AI infrastructure. The programme uses a flexible managed approach that removes the need for high upfront capital investment in computing infrastructure while ensuring deployments comply with local data governance and regulatory requirements.
“Through the CCP programme, we are working with partners to extend access to AI infrastructure, cloud platforms, digital capabilities and solutions enabling enterprises, developers, and entrepreneurs across the continent to build and deploy AI-powered solutions,” said Ahmed El Beheiry, Group COO and Group Chief Technology & AI Officer, Cassava Technologies. “We are expanding Africa’s sovereign AI ecosystem to build solutions that address the continent’s unique challenges while creating new opportunities for growth and digital inclusion.”
The company says the platform allows customers to deploy compute capabilities in a scalable and fully orchestrated manner from day one, helping organizations accelerate the rollout of AI applications across emerging markets.
Building sovereign cloud infrastructure for governments
Alongside its partner ecosystem, Cassava has introduced the National Sovereign Cloud solution, a secure digital infrastructure designed specifically for African governments pursuing national digital transformation initiatives.
The platform provides cloud services, cybersecurity capabilities, AI compute infrastructure, local-language AI models, and an AI Institute to support national digital platforms across public sector institutions.
The initiative aims to help governments deploy AI-enabled services while maintaining sovereignty over sensitive national data and critical digital infrastructure.
The NSC framework also includes infrastructure for payments and remittances as well as conversational AI tools designed to improve citizen engagement and public service delivery. Cassava says the system will enable governments to deploy AI models tailored to local languages while strengthening financial inclusion and public-sector digital capabilities.
“Across Africa, governments are accelerating their digital transformation agendas and are increasingly focused on ensuring that data and digital infrastructure remain secure and sovereign,” said Ahmed El Beheiry, Group COO and Group Chief Technology & AI Officer, Cassava Technologies. “Our National Sovereign Cloud solution enables governments to develop secure AI and Cloud environments that support national digital transformation while empowering African developers, enterprises, and institutions to create solutions that address the continent’s unique needs.”
Strengthening Africa’s sovereign AI ecosystem
The twin announcements highlight Cassava’s growing role in building AI and cloud infrastructure across emerging markets, particularly as governments and enterprises seek alternatives to centralized global cloud providers.
By combining sovereign cloud infrastructure, advanced AI compute capabilities, and secure connectivity, Cassava aims to support the development of trusted national digital ecosystems that allow countries to control data governance while still benefiting from advanced AI technologies. The company’s partner-driven approach also expands the reach of these capabilities across telecom operators, system integrators, and enterprise customers, creating a distributed infrastructure layer for AI innovation.
Headquartered in the United Kingdom with operations spanning Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, and the United States, Cassava Technologies operates across multiple technology sectors through business units including Cassava AI, Liquid Intelligent Technologies, Liquid C2, Africa Data Centres, and Sasai Fintech. The company currently delivers digital infrastructure and services across 94 countries.
