These funds will be used to develop the Connect Earth climate impact data processing business.

Connect Earth was founded in 2021. The company is based in London. The firm provides environmental data using the API.

Connect Earth interacts with fintech companies and financial institutions, and provides them with transparent information about how their expenses and decisions regarding the use of investments affect the state of the climate. The firm has calculated the level of carbon dioxide emissions resulting from more than 500 million transactions made since the beginning of 2022.

The company intends to use the funds raised during the investment round to implementing measures to expand its activities in the US and European markets. In these regions, the company has already established cooperation with financial institutions, including KBC Bank. The firm also has strategic partners such as FIS Global.

The funding round, led by Zixin Pan and Benjamin Faulkner, also involved Love Ventures, Global Brain, Norinchukin Bank, Portfolio Ventures, Super Capital VC, strategic angel investors, and existing investors Market One Capital, Mustard Seed MAZE and Venista Ventures.

Nick Carmont, co-founder and technical director of Connect Earth, says that the new investments will expand the opportunities for interaction with partners around the world. He also noted that the company has the potential to have a significant impact on the financial sector. Nick Carmont said that the investment will accelerate the promotion of financial services related to environmental data.

Benjamin Faulkner, deputy director of Gresham House Ventures, says that Connect Earth solves two important problems for financial institutions. The company offers customers products and features that allow them to gain a clear understanding of their carbon footprint. The firm also helps to disclose information about the impact of certain activities on the climate in value chains.

Jakub Slyusarczyk, a partner at Market One Capital, said he believes that in the future, the degree of environmental impact will be a key factor in decision-making by business representatives and their clients. He also noted that Connect Earth is working on creating an infrastructure that will make dreams of such a thing a reality.
