Deutsche Bank Merchant Solutions capabilities are officially available in Australia, India, Indonesia and South Korea. They provide the bank’s clients with a global payment acceptance platform with a diverse range of local payment methods.
Deutsche Bank has launched Merchant Solutions in the Asia-Pacific region to support the growing e-commerce sector by improving operational efficiency and catering to the region’s diverse market needs.
This platform provides end-to-end payment processing services to merchants, enabling them to accept various payment methods, including cards and alternative payment solutions, while also managing associated risks effectively.
The service focuses on global payment acceptance, enabling sellers in Australia, India, Indonesia and South Korea to accept online payments within individually regulated currency zones. Facilitating seamless online transactions in the region can boost local merchants’ global reach potential and help them manage increasing digital adoption across the Asia-Pacific e-commerce landscape.
APAC houses some of the fastest-growing and most exciting e-commerce markets in the world. Therefore, Deutsche Bank is not stopping at the abovementioned four countries. The institution plans to roll out its solutions in Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and other countries over the next few years. The focus will be on key local payment methods and connectivity to global payment acceptance platforms.
According to the World Bank data, economic growth rates in developing countries in East Asia and the Pacific are currently exceeding similar results in the rest of the world. As economies grow, so does the consumer purchasing power as well as local e-commerce markets.
The total e-commerce market in Asia is expected to generate approximately $1.97 trillion in revenue this year. With an anticipated annual growth rate of 9.8%, the market size is projected to expand significantly, reaching around $3.15 trillion by 2029.
