Ecommpay to Enable Recurring PayPal Payments

Ecommpay merchants will now be able to collect recurring PayPal payments from customers in addition to leveraging subscription card payments and direct debit options which were added earlier.

Ecommpay to Enable Recurring PayPal Payments

End-to-end payments platform, Ecommpay, enabled merchants with subscription-based business models to collect customer payments using PayPal payments alongside subscription card payments and direct debits.

Ecommpay’s clients increasingly requested the new feature as a potential additional revenue stream and a way to add more convenience to recurring payments on the platform.

The payment platform has a long-standing collaboration with PayPal. Ecommpay already offers PayPal Complete Payments, PayPal Express Checkout and PayPal Pay Later services.

With the newest PayPal subscription addition, merchants will be able to effortlessly manage all their subscriptions from the dedicated PayPal dashboard. It provides full control and visibility over billing cycles, payment amounts, and customer information. The dashboard also allows merchants to make subscription changes, track payment history, and handle cancellations seamlessly.

“Our priority is always to make online payments as smooth as possible to allow our clients to grow their businesses, so we’re excited to be offering these capabilities for one of the most popular digital wallets. This is the next step in strengthening our strategic relationship with PayPal and allowing us to assist more merchants whose business model is based on subscriptions.”

Arthur Ribakovs, Head of Financial Partnerships at Ecommpay

The global subscription economy market size is projected to be $1.5 trillion in 2025, up from $650 billion in 2020. Almost everything may be sold as a subscription today, starting from grooming products, to grocery delivery, software and streaming services, and even dating apps.

Most payment providers offer solutions for subscription services, with PayPal being one of the most popular options, with its presence across over 200 countries and over 300 million users globally. PayPal Subscriptions are designed for businesses ranging from micro-sellers to large enterprises, marketplaces and platforms. The service features a self-service dashboard and easy-to-integrate REST APIs.

“We’re delighted to provide added value and opportunities to Ecommpay’s clients. Small businesses face a myriad of challenges from finding new customers and managing cash flow to driving sales. Putting the customer preference at the heart of the payment and providing shoppers more choice in how they can pay can help turn prospects into customers and grow sales.”
