Crypto trading and investing platform eToro has introduced a portfolio offering long-term exposure to leading fintech companies, while also achieving an important legal milestone

EToro Launches Fintech Portfolio, Gets Spanish License

eToro, the crypto-friendly multi-asset investing platform, has announced the launch of a new investing option for those who believe in the power of the fintech revolution.

The new Fin-Tech portfolio offers retail investors exposure to “a carefully selected mix of top-performing companies from a variety of verticals within the fintech ecosystem, including paytech, insurtech, digital banking and trading.”

eToro executives believe such an investing choice is a perfect combination of risky but profitable tech growth stocks and the stability of more traditional financial institutions.

The 40 fintech companies chosen for the portfolio were selected by several factors, including market capitalization, liquidity parameters, and analyst ratings. The initial stock mix includes fintech behemoths like Block, Lemonade, Adyen, and Xero, as well as newer fintech players such as Stone, Nexi and SoFi. The stock list will be rebalanced on an annual basis.

The initial investment minimum is $500. Investors can access tools and charts to track the portfolio’s performance, as well as check eToro’s social feed to keep up-to-date with developments in the sector.

The Fin-Tech portfolio is a new addition to eToro’s existing Smart Portfolios offering which gives investors exposure to traditional finance rather than crypto assets. The offering includes InsuranceWorld, Private Equity, The Big Banks, and Real Estate Trusts.

Almost at the same time, eToro has announced that the Bank of Spain has approved its registration as a service provider of exchange of virtual currency for fiat currency and electronic wallet custody services.

As an authorized virtual asset service provider, eToro will continue to offer its Spanish users access to a diverse range of asset classes, investment tools and educational resources to enable them to grow their knowledge and wealth.
