Gr4vy and Ecommpay Partner to Simplify Global Payments Through Single Integration

Gr4vy, a cloud-native payment orchestration platform that helps merchants manage multiple payment service providers and methods through a unified interface, has partnered with payment provider Ecommpay to tap into its wide range of local and international payment methods.

The orchestration platform enables smart routing and optimisation, allowing merchants to direct transactions to the most suitable provider for processing to improve approval rates and reduce costs. It also offers a no-code rules engine, helping businesses manage payment logic without repeated engineering effort.

Ecommpay is a global payment provider offering full-stack payment processing, acquiring, along with payment orchestration. The company supports card payments, digital wallets, and a broad range of local and alternative payment methods, and it provides additional services such as risk and fraud protection, recurring billing, and payment page customisation. Ecommpay’s platform is designed to support merchants operating in multiple markets by simplifying processing and compliance through a single technical connection.

Under the partnership, Gr4vy merchants will gain access to Ecommpay’s portfolio of payment methods, including more than 100 alternative payment options and popular local methods such as iDEAL, BLIK, Bancontact, Trustly and P24. The integration aims to reduce the complexity of supporting diverse payment methods across geographies, enabling merchants to offer more payment options without building multiple direct integrations.

According to the press release, Gr4vy’s founder and CEO, John Lunn, stated that the partnership aligns with the company’s mission to help merchants increase customer loyalty and profitability through flexible and transparent payment options. Ecommpay’s head of strategic sales, Roy Blokker, said the partnership supports merchants in reducing complexity and costs while improving customer experience and maintaining secure, compliant payment processing.

Today, cross-border e-commerce accounts for around 31 % of global online retail sales. Moreover, about 59 % of online shoppers purchase from merchants outside their home country, while still preferring to pay with their familiar methods (often local rather than global ones).

By combining Gr4vy’s orchestration capabilities with Ecommpay’s payment method coverage and processing capabilities, the collaboration is positioned to help merchants scale payment acceptance across markets more efficiently by leveraging a single integration point. Specific rollout timelines and potential changes in pricing were not disclosed.
