Ingenico and Toshiba Launch Enterprise Mobile Checkout Solutions for North American Retailers

Ingenico, a global provider of payment acceptance technology, and Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions, a retail technology hardware and software provider, have announced a collaboration to integrate their respective mobile payment and commerce platforms.

The partnership combines Ingenico’s Moby 5500 mobile payment device with Toshiba’s TCxM7 and TCx M11 enterprise-grade tablets and handheld devices, enabling retailers to accept payments anywhere on the store floor.

The integration is designed to provide retailers with flexible, scalable mobile checkout capabilities while maintaining enterprise-level security standards. The joint solution allows staff to seamlessly process transactions on mobile devices during assisted selling, curbside pickup, and other in-store interactions, reducing dependency on traditional checkout lanes and improving workflow efficiency.

Ingenico, headquartered in Suresnes, France, provides a range of point-of-sale terminals, mobile payment devices, and integrated payment services for merchants, banks, and fintechs worldwide. The company has deployed tens of millions of payment devices across 32 countries.

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Toshiba Tec Corporation, focuses on retail hardware, software, and services for grocery chains and high-volume retailers in North America and globally. Its TCx® series of devices is widely used to support advanced commerce functions in enterprise retail environments.

The companies emphasized that the partnership is a strategic alignment of complementary technology stacks rather than a change in their core businesses. Ingenico continues to focus on payment acceptance and payment processing, while Toshiba remains centered on retail hardware and software platforms. The joint offering, however, provides enterprise retailers with a combined solution that meets the operational and security requirements of large-scale stores and grocers.

Retailers interested in the new mobile solutions can expect availability in North America in the coming months. Industry observers note that such partnerships reflect ongoing efforts by technology providers to simplify in-store commerce operations while maintaining security and scalability standards.
