KuCoin, the global crypto heavyweight, is making waves in Brazil, as its payments arm, KuCoin Pay, has officially integrated with Pix, the country’s lightning-fast instant payments system. This move allows millions of Brazilian users to pay merchants both online and in physical stores using over 50 different cryptocurrencies by simply scanning a Pix QR code.

With this fresh integration, KuCoin Pay provides seamless crypto-to-BRL (Brazilian real) conversions and enables users to move funds between their KuCoin wallet and any Brazilian bank in real time. The wallet within the KuCoin app now supports both crypto and fiat, giving users more flexibility in how they choose to spend.
Pix itself is deeply embedded in Brazil’s financial system: operated by the Central Bank, it processes instant, round-the-clock transactions using QR codes, phone numbers, or simple identifiers and has more than 150 million users. As of Q2 2025, Pix processed about 18–19 billion transactions. Their daily value was $23 billion on a record-setting day for Pix.
To celebrate the launch, KuCoin Pay is running a campaign: users who make their first Pix scan payment can get 50% cashback, and there’s also a chance to win a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.
This integration isn’t just about user convenience in handling crypto exchange through local payment rails. It underscores how quickly crypto is becoming a part of daily life in Brazil. According to KuCoin’s own announcement, approximately 26 million Brazilians, or around 12% of the population, now use crypto.
KuCoin Pay is the payment arm of the KuCoin crypto exchange, which gives real-world use to crypto. Instead of just holding tokens, people can spend them for everyday purchases, including online shopping at participating e-commerce stores, in-store payments via QR codes in regions where KuCoin Pay is active, or a pure on-chain payment exchange between wallets, and in some cases, even get cashback or discounts.
