Mesh and Visa to Enable Crypto and Stablecoin Payments Directly from Wallets Across Visa’s Network

An agreement between Mesh and Visa will allow digital wallet holders to pay with cryptocurrency and stablecoins directly from their balances, both in physical stores and online, wherever Visa is accepted.

Mesh and Visa to Enable Crypto and Stablecoin Payments Directly from Wallets Across Visa’s Network

This is an unprecedented experience that permits payments directly from a wallet without the necessity of transferring cash to a bank account or obtaining a separate card. The Visa credential is created invisibly in the background, and the user just taps a phone on a regular contactless terminal or completes an online payment. The merchant receives an ordinary Visa payment without changing the current checkout process or investing in special equipment.

Visa’s acceptance network covers well over 175 million merchant locations in 200+ countries and territories. In fiscal year 2025, the network processed $14.2 trillion in payments volume. The partnership with Mesh is intended to make this footprint reachable directly from crypto and stablecoin balances.

As per Crypto.com data, total crypto investors reached 774 million globally as of June 2026. Meanwhile, American Banker reports crypto card transaction amounts to only $1.5 billion monthly at the end of 2025, which is a tiny part of the total payment market. In terms of the platforms available, stablecoin usage requires the user to do the first thing: either cash out to bank transfers or get a card from a certain platform. Mesh has created a path around the first step.

Through Mesh, one can simply choose a payment option and do the conversion (crypto, stablecoins, or fiat). And the company has already partnered with over 200 business clients, thus connecting hundreds of wallets, platforms, and exchanges.  Its partners include Kalshi, Tools for Humanity, Félix Pago, MAJORITY, and KAST. Mesh achieves connections in so many user balances via the ecosystem.

Now platforms with crypto, stablecoin, or fiat holdings can easily connect with Mesh via one simple API integration and don’t need to have their card program. Once a platform goes live, its users will be able to spend funds anywhere Visa is accepted. Details on supported devices and the first participating platforms will be announced later.

“Crypto never had a spending problem — it has a last-mile problem, and until now, closing it meant getting a separate card. Mesh handles the funding and conversion, so a balance becomes purchasing power at the moment of payment, with nothing for the user to move and nothing for the merchant to change. We think your money should be spendable right where it already lives. With Visa and Mesh, it is,” said Bam Azizi, CEO and Co-founder of Mesh.

“Consumers increasingly expect to use their money however and wherever they choose. Working with Mesh helps expand how digital asset balances can connect to the trusted payment experiences consumers and merchants rely on every day,” said Rubail Birwadker, Global Head of Growth at Visa.

In the long term, Mesh aims to make any form of value held by users spendable. Over the past year, the company joined Paxos’s Global Dollar Network, launched the Mesh Alliance Program (more than 50 partners), and released Mesh Wallet for AI agents that can complete real-world transactions using stablecoins.

Initial availability, the list of supported devices, and participating platforms will be announced as rollout details are finalized.
