The media published information about the expected losses and revenue of the developer of the world’s most popular chatbot based on artificial intelligence, citing an insider who is aware of the financial aspect of the firm’s activities. The informant of the journalists used the right of anonymity, since in this case, it means data that belongs to the category of confidential.

The media also reported that OpenAI’s revenue was fixed at $300 million last month. This figure is 1,700% higher than the financial result recorded at the beginning of the current year.

Moreover, the media reported that the company expects that next year its sales volume in monetary terms will amount to $11.6 billion.

It is worth noting that OpenAI is currently backed by Microsoft. Nowadays, the developer of the world’s most popular artificial intelligence-based chatbot is conducting a funding round that is expected will allow to value the company at more than $150 billion. This information was also made public by the media with reference to insiders. In the mentioned financing round, Thrive Capital is leading and plans to invest $1 billion.

OpenAI chief financial officer Sarah Friar told investors in an email that the funding round is oversubscribed and will close by next week.
